NCAA Top 25 Basketball Odds: No 4 Duke at No 2 Ohio State

Fourth-ranked Duke Blue Devils heads to No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes on Tuesday in the headliner matchup of the 13th edition of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The tough schedule continues for the Blue Devils, who have already beaten Michigan State, Tennessee, Michigan and Kansas in the early part of the season.

Duke has been the most successful team in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, going 11-1 overall and 3-1 in road games. Ohio State is 5-5 in the challenge but has won three straight. The Blue Devils lead this all-time series 3-2, including a 1-0 mark under coach Mike Krzyzewski.

The Buckeyes have opened as 5.5-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.

Duke Blue Devils (7-0): Highly touted freshman Austin Rivers has had quite the start in his first season, averaging 14.4 points. But it was backup point guard Tyler Thornton who stole the show in the Blue Devils’ 68-61 victory over Kansas in the championship game of the Maui Invitational on Wednesday. With the shot clock running down in the game’s final minute, Thornton heaved a wild 3-pointer from the sideline that went in and sealed Duke’s win. Ryan Kelly, who is second on the team with 14.6 points per game, was the tournament’s MVP after scoring 17 points in each of the three victories.

Ohio State Buckeyes (6-0): The Buckeyes haven’t played quite as challenging a schedule as Duke, but they do have an impressive 81-74 home win over Florida earlier this month. Other than that, Ohio State has been dominant, winning every game by at least 30 points. Preseason All-American Jared Sullinger leads the way with 18.8 points and 10.7 rebounds, and William Buford adds 17.7 points. Aaron Craft is one of the nation’s brightest young point guards, totaling 33 assists and 21 steals against only 11 turnovers.
